One of the questions I get asked most, when it comes to Swiss Meringue Buttercream is how do you color it!  While delicious and luxurious SMBC is notoriously hard to color, especially if you are trying to get a deep/dark color.  This is due to the high fat content and the incompatibility with water based gel colors. Think, trying to mix oil and water… it doesn’t work…

In this video I show you several ways that you CAN color SMBC… including my “secret” tip for coloring with gel colors and not having to go out to buy any special products, you’ll be amazed at how simple it is!!
